The “3 Peaks Challenge” is a well know legend throughout the hill walking and mountain climbing fraternities of Britain and even the world. Incorporating ascents of all 3 of the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales, the challenge covers a travelling distance of over 475 miles between the peaks with 3407 metres of ascents over 26 miles of mountain paths. All this and an attempt to complete the adventure in 24 hours or less! Used by fund raisers and dare devils alike, the “3 Peaks Challenge” constitutes the ultimate endurance mountaineering challenge in Britain and is a must for all climbers and walkers to have under their belt. Weather you take the challenge at its word and try your best to complete the distance in the 24 hours or just take your time and enjoy the views and the mountain air, the “3 Peaks Challenge” is an experience not to be missed.

This cycling challenge is set in the beautiful Lake District with the planned route covering 112 miles, starting and finishing in Coniston. You will cover some 20-25 miles per day, passing through the glorious scenery of Ambleside, Patterdale, Keswick, Borrowdale and Ennerdale, negotiating the Wrynose, Hardknott and Kirkstone passes, some of the steepest roads in England, on the way. Cycling experience and strong legs essential!
